Technical description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net_sched: cls_flow: validate TCA_FLOW_RSHIFT attribute

syzbot found that TCA_FLOW_RSHIFT attribute was not validated.

Right shitfing a 32bit integer is undefined for large shift values.

UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in net/sched/cls_flow.c:329:23

shift exponent 9445 is too large for 32-bit type 'u32' (aka 'unsigned int')

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2025-21653?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2025-21653 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
