Technical description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

drm/msm/gem: Fix error code msm_parse_deps()

The SUBMIT_ERROR() macro turns the error code negative. This extra '-'

operation turns it back to positive EINVAL again. The error code is

passed to ERR_PTR() and since positive values are not an IS_ERR() it

eventually will lead to an oops. Delete the '-'.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2025-22096?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2025-22096 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
