Overview

CVE-2025-67494 is a critical-severity vulnerability affecting zitadel zitadel. It was published on December 9, 2025 and has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 9.3 (CRITICAL).

This vulnerability has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 9.3, rated CRITICAL. It can be exploited remotely over the network. No authentication or special privileges are required for exploitation.

Technical Description

ZITADEL is an open-source identity infrastructure tool. Versions 4.7.0 and below are vulnerable to an unauthenticated, full-read SSRF vulnerability. The ZITADEL Login UI (V2) treats the x-zitadel-forward-host header as a trusted fallback for all deployments, including self-hosted instances. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to force the server to make HTTP requests to arbitrary domains, such as internal addresses, and read the responses, enabling data exfiltration and bypassing network-segmentation controls. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.1.

Remediation

Check the references section for vendor advisories and patches from zitadel. Update zitadel to the latest patched version. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.
