Technical description

An Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).

When in a BGP traffic engineering scenario a specific, valid, optional, non-transitive BGP update is received over an established BGP session, RPD crashes and automatically restarts, which leads to traffic impact until routing has reconverged.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2026-102087?

CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2026-102087 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
