Overview

CVE-2026-2092 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting redhat build_of_keycloak. It was published on March 18, 2026 and has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.7 (HIGH).

This vulnerability has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.7, rated HIGH. It can be exploited remotely over the network. Some level of privileges is required for exploitation.

Technical Description

A flaw was found in Keycloak. Keycloak's Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) broker endpoint does not properly validate encrypted assertions when the overall SAML response is not signed. An attacker with a valid signed SAML assertion can exploit this by crafting a malicious SAML response. This allows the attacker to inject an encrypted assertion for an arbitrary principal, leading to unauthorized access and potential information disclosure.

Remediation

Check the references section for vendor advisories and patches from redhat. Update build_of_keycloak to the latest patched version. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.
