CVE-2026-77371
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing.
Overview
CVE-2026-77371 is a known-severity vulnerability. It was published on October 14, 2026.
Technical description
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From 26.0.0 until 26.9.0, the DuckDB query runner's _connect() path in redash/query_runner/duckdb.py created connections with enable_external_access left at its default value of true. A user with query access to an administrator-created DuckDB data source could use native file-reading functions to retrieve files readable by the Redash process or use COPY TO to write files with that process's privileges. Reading application secrets such as REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET or REDASH_SECRET_KEY could also enable forged sessions and authentication bypass. This issue is fixed in version 26.9.0.
Remediation
Check the references section for vendor advisories, patches, and mitigation guidance. If immediate patching is not possible, review the CVSS vector to understand the attack surface and apply compensating controls such as network segmentation or access restrictions.

Reason, not just scan
It reasons through your app's logic the way a human pentester would, so it finds flaws signature scanners miss.

How can CyberStrike help with CVE-2026-77371?
CyberStrike is an open-source, AI-augmented pentesting engine. Rather than flag a version number, it tests whether an issue like CVE-2026-77371 is actually reachable in your own applications and APIs, then verifies each finding before reporting it. That tells you if the weakness is a real, exploitable risk in your environment or a false positive you can safely deprioritize.
