She leads product direction, hiring and customer relationships. Maya still joins customer calls every week and reads every postmortem the team writes about its own incidents, because she believes the best way to build reliability tools is to use them seriously.
Before Navy, she led platform engineering at a payments company, where she rebuilt the on-call rotation and cut overnight pages by more than half.
